I don't have Internet access so I can't use Loansome Doc. Can I still send requests to AHSL?

You may still send requests to AHSL by mail, fax or email. In addition to the flat price (see cost information), an additional processing fee of $5.00 per request will be assessed for each request not submitted through Loansome Doc. The reason for this is that additional staff time is required to process manual requests. The only exception to this fee is for those requests which cannot be submitted through Loansome Doc, such as requests for books and articles that are not in PubMed.

Loansome Doc asks for a supplying library ID #. Where can I get this?

As part of the Loansome Doc registration you are asked to select a supplying library, that is, the library through which your requests will be processed. You must first read over AHSL's terms and conditions. If you agree to abide by them, call or email the Document Delivery/Interlirary Loan office and you will be given the AHSL Library Identifier to complete your Loansome Doc registration.

What if pages in my article are not readable or are missing?

Send an email as soon as possible to ahsill@ahsl.arizona.edu or call 520-626-6840 and report the problem. Include as much information as possible, including the DocOrder Request #, the title of the article and the pages that are missing or unreadable. Document Delivery staff will request that your pages be transmitted again and deliver them to your DocOrder Account.

I received an article by mail that I requested to be sent electronically. Why?

Occasionally an article is so long or it contains so many graphics that it is too large to send electronically. When this happens, we print off the article and mail it to our customer. Normally an explanation is appended.
